The estimate
Why don't you need my VIN?
Because sending you to the driveway to find a 17-character number is where most people quit. Year, make, model and kilometers get you a useful range in under two minutes. We decode the VIN later, automatically, once you're actually building the listing.
How accurate is the estimate?
It's a range based on what dealers in your postal code pay for comparable cars, not a binding offer. Condition, history and options move the real number. The auction is what prices your specific car.
Does my postal code really change the price?
Yes, and more than people expect. A pickup is worth more in Alberta than downtown Toronto; a small hybrid is the reverse. Dealers bid on what they can actually sell off their own lot.
The auction
Who is bidding on my car?
Licensed Canadian dealers we've verified. Names are masked during live bidding so you see the competition without the noise, and so dealers bid on the car rather than on each other's reputations.
What if I don't like any of the bids?
You keep your car. There's no fee for running an auction and no obligation to accept anything. A low result is information too.
How long does an auction run?
A timed window, usually under 24 hours. You'll see bids land as they happen rather than getting a summary email afterwards.
Getting paid
How do I get the money?
Interac e-Transfer once the handoff is complete and the paperwork checks out. No waiting on a cheque to clear.
I still owe money on the car. Is that a problem?
No. A lien is normal. We handle the payout to your lender as part of the transaction and you receive the difference.
Do I have to drive somewhere?
Usually not. Pickup and drop-off are arranged in the app with the winning dealer, and most sellers never leave home.
Trust and privacy
Will you sell my information?
No. Your details go to dealers only when your car is in an auction, and we don't sell contact data to third parties.
Will I get spam calls?
Not from us. We only text or call you if you've explicitly opted in, and replying STOP ends it immediately. That's not just our policy — it's CASL.
